Huawei announced an expanded partnership with SAP to collaborate on IoT (Internet of Things) development and provide integrated solutions to targeted business sectors, according to the company's press release on March 17. Aside from dispatching research staff to each other's headquarters, Huawei will integrate its ICT infrastructure and connectivity solutions with SAP's Hana Cloud Platform and SAP applications and analytic tools. The initial phase of their cooperation will focus on certain specific sectors, including agile manufacturing, smart energy, and transportation. The two companies have been working together on several projects since 2012.
